Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, current aspirant of Morena for the presidential candidacy in 2024, invited the people of Tlaxcala to celebrate the five years since the triumph of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador as president of Mexico, when he won the presidential elections in 2018, during her Informational Assembly in Zacatelco, Tlaxcala.
«I take this opportunity to invite you on July 1st, when President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has invited us again to the Zocalo in Mexico City, to celebrate the five years of the president’s triumph,» Dr. Sheinbaum commented.
It is also important to highlight that the Morena aspirant has confirmed her attendance at the capital’s Zocalo, but she will attend as a citizen, not as a political figure. «We hope that we can go, like any citizen,» Claudia Sheinbaum mentioned in Hidalgo.
Today, AMLO asked the Morena aspirants not to take advantage of their celebration in the Zocalo of Mexico City to carry out political acts or cheers to benefit themselves. «I take this opportunity to call on all our sympathizers, those who support the transformation… to avoid cheering for those who are participating, to be coordinators of the transformation, not to applaud their favorites or disrespect anyone,» the president of Mexico emphasized.
In response to this call, Claudia Sheinbaum joined the request of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. In a press conference in Tlaxcala, she appealed to those who support her to avoid any mention of her, as well as to the other aspirants to refrain from participating against any of the aspirants in the party’s internal process.
